Does converting YAML preserve comments?
No. JSON has no comment syntax, so YAML comments are omitted. The converter preserves data values that are compatible with JSON, rather than the original formatting.
Why does my YAML conversion fail?
Check indentation, unclosed quotes, duplicate keys, and unsupported tags. The tool displays the parser error so you can correct the input. It accepts one YAML document at a time.
Can I convert JSON back to YAML?
Yes. Switch to JSON to YAML, paste valid JSON, and select Convert to YAML. The output receives fresh YAML formatting; original YAML comments, anchors and formatting choices are not reconstructed.
Are custom YAML tags supported?
The converter uses a JSON-compatible YAML schema. Custom tags and values that cannot be represented in JSON are not supported. Quote values when they should remain text, and inspect the resulting JSON types.
